John Ralph Green

Chapel Hill Funeral Home

Funeral Service for John R. Green, 92 of Anniston, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Dr. Todd Stewart is presiding.

Following the service there will be a private graveside ceremony @Anniston Memorial Gardens for the Family.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret F. Green along with his son Mark Green of Las Vegas, NV, step-children, Annette Morrison and Joseph (Joe) Morris and sister Sue Chong of Honolulu, HI. He was a wonderful grandparent to six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Green served in the US Army from 1949-1951 and following his service worked in Japan with Philco/Ford. Upon his return to the US, Mr. Green founded Green’s Art Supplies, a long-time presence in Anniston. In addition, he was a Professor at Jacksonville State University in the Economics and Marketing Dept. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church in Saks, serving on the Church’s Building Committee for many years
