Anniston – A Celebration of life services for Mr. John Clifford Wood, 72 of Anniston will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Good News Assembly of God with Pastor Danny Sanders officiating with burial following at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the time of service at the Church.
Mr. Wood passed away November 29, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Shirley Wood; grandchildren, Jacob Burrell, Kasey Brown and Amanda Turner; sister-in-laws, Wilma Tucker, Velma Hammett, Revia Melton, Helma Lowe; brother-in-laws, Robert Hamrick and Tom Hamrick; special friends, Don James and Ronald Ogletree.
Mr. Wood was a native of Gadsden where he graduated from Emma Sansom High School and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 550.
Mr. wood is preceeded in death by his daughters, Deanna Wood Piper and Tami Wood; great grandson, Elisha Turner; parents, Jack and Jewel Wood; brother-in-law, James Hamrick.
