Funeral service for John J. Wooster, III, 81, of Anniston, will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Ronny Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Wooster passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Survivors include his life-long friends, Kathey Thaxton (Tim), Alison Moore (Chance), Kim Garner (Jay), Brody Garner, and Faye Newsome Clay; brothers, Charles Wooster (Julia) and Will Wooster (Linda); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Smith Wooster; parents, John Wooster, Jr. and Marion; and life-long friend, Barney Newsome.
Pallbearers will be members of West Point Baptist Church.
Mr. Wooster loved Auburn football and his cat, Oreo. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and was always a faithful friend. He was a man who always kept his word, and will be dearly missed.
