Joshua Paul Lumpkin "Josh"

Funeral service for Joshua Paul Lumpkin “Josh”, 32, of Alexandria, will be 2 pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Snow and Rev. Chris Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 – 2 pm at the church. Josh passed away on Wednesday at UAB in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Caty Lumpkin, parents, Michael and Teresa Lumpkin, father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Tammy Swindall, Grandparents, Frankie Finch (Jerry), nephews, Jay Whaley and Coleson Whaley, niece, Hadleigh Davidson, several brothers and sisters- in-laws.

Josh is preceded in death by his brother, Adam Luallen, grandparents, Homer and Gert Lumpkin and grandmother, Dorris Swindall.

Pallbearers will be Austin Longshore, Nic Goudy, Robert Chapman, Alex Whaley, Fletcher Swindall, Todd Lumpkin and Nick Davidson.

Josh was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church. He was a 2002 graduate of Alexandria High School and 2007 graduate of Jacksonville State University. Josh was an AVID Boston Red Sox and Alabama fan.
