Funeral Service will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11 AM, visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Donnie Sills and Rev. Buddy Nelson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
She was survived by her son, Paul Keith Kelley (Phyllis); daughter, Cynthia Haynes; sister, June Glassco; stepsisters, Faye Baxley, Melva Estes (LuGene), and Gail Barnes (William); grandsons, Michael Kelley (Donna) and Jeremy Kelley; great granddaughter, Emma Grace Kelley; nephew, Wesley Glassco (Gloria) and special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Ruth Bell Shurbutt; brother-in-law, Jack W. Glassco.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and sister. Joyce was a very kind, caring person and everyone that knew her loved her. She was always taking care of everyone else.
Joyce worked for Regional Medical Center for 32 years and she loved her job and her patients. She was a member of First Baptist Church at McClellan.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kelley, Jeremy Kelley, Wesley Glassco, Jeff Bowman and Tim Mitchell.
We would like to thank the nurses and staff at NHC healthcare and Enhabit Hospice for such great care for Joyce.
