
Funeral service for Lynn Backus Daugherty, 90, of Glencoe will be noon, Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Edgemont cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 12:00 on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Daugherty died Friday morning at her residence.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail Andrews (Mike); son, Billy Daugherty (Regina); grandchildren, Lee Daugherty (Cynthia), Dawn Casey (Randy), Tammy Hersch (Dave), Dana Blount (Jeff); great grandchildren, Brett Daugherty, Blake Daugherty, Brooke Daugherty, Carson Camper, Amber Yarbrough and Andrew Casey; sisters, Gladys Hight, Flora Fleming, Dessie May Burdett; brothers, Roscoe “Bill” Backus and Lee Backus; and special nieces Bobbie Craton.
Mrs. Daugherty is preceded in death her husband, William E. Daugherty Jr.; and parents, Henry and Dessie May Sides Backus.
Mrs. Daugherty was a native of Calhoun County. She was an Air Craft Mechanic stationed in Ogden, Utah during WWII.
