Marjorie L Wood Bentley

Alexandria – Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie L. Bentley, 51 of Alexandria will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Suddath and Rev. Larry Ward officiating with burial to follow at Crook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral Home.

Mrs. Bentley passed on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Bentley is survived her husband, Toney D. Bentley; daughters, Brandi (Bryan) Sheffield, and Rachel (Dontae) Chevis; son, Warrant Officer Nicholas (Emerald) Bentley; sisters, Theresa (Bernard) Dykes, Lynn Wood, and Susan Wood; chosen sister, Sheila Burney Gibson; brothers, Larry (Diane) Wood, and John Wood; grandchildren, Ayden, Veronica, and Jaxon Sheffield, Ebryanna, and Emberleigh Chevis, and Harper Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carl Wilson, Justin Wilson, Tim Bentley, Nathan Bentley, Larry Wood, David Chain, Steve Ramey and Bernard Dykes.

Mrs. Bentley is preceded in death by her parents, James Barker Wood and Margie H. Wood.

Mrs. Bentley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, .she was a graduate of Saks High School, class of 1982. Mrs. Bentley was a member of Union Grove FMC. She was a loving wife, mother, and “big momma” who will be greatly missed.
