
Mary Catherine Culver, 91, of Saks, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Alabama. Mrs. Culver was born on November 7, 1919, in Piedmont, Alabama, but lived most of her life in Jacksonville and Saks. She was a long time member of The First Baptist Church of Saks. Ms. Culver is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Ogle and her husband, James; one son, W.E. "Buddy" Culver Jr.; six grandchildren, James H. "Jimmy" Ogle Jr. and his wife, Karen, Lisa Ogle Williams and her husband, Greg, Scott Hendrix, Hope Hendrix, Julie Culver Hardy and her husband, Tripp, and Chris Culver and his wife, Margaret. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Jim Ogle, Kevin Ogle, Austin Williams, Ann Morgan Hardy, Reed Hardy, and Christian Culver. Ms. Culver is preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Ann Culver Hendrix and her beloved husband, Mr. W.E. Culver Sr. The family will receive visitors tonight, November 27, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Gray Brown Funeral Home in Anniston. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama. Pallbearers will include her son, grandsons, and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Adams, Max Cantrell, and John Bonds. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to celebrate and honor Ms. Culver's life make donations to her home church of First Baptist Church of Saks or to the Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they provided her during her stay there.
