Melba Fite Keown

Jacksonville – Mrs. Melba Keown, 92, passed peacefully at her son’s home on June 10, 2018.

Services will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Jacksonville with visitation at 10:00 and funeral Mass at 11:00, Father James Handerhan will be officiating. Burial will the funeral at Edgemont Cemetery.

Melba is survived by her son, Doug Lipsey, and wife Marcia; stepson, Phil Keown and wife Betsy; five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Dehlinger; parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Fite; two sisters; two brothers; and two nephews.

Family request in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to research for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis at: Haley’s team UAB Cystic Fibrosis Research Center Mclm 740 1720 2nd Ave S Birmingham, Al 35294-0005.
