Norris William Parton

Funeral Service for Mr. Norris W. Parton, 81, of Ohatchee, will be held Friday, October 20th, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his daughter, Robbie Ward (Barry); sons, Lin Parton (Arlene), David Parton (Patty), and Eddie Parton (Gwen); sister, Louise Reaves; brothers, Robert Parton and Leldon Parton; grandchildren, Wendy Bumpers (Steven), Paula Parton, Joshua Parton, Chad Parton (Alicia), Bradley Ward (Allison), and Rock Ward (Brandy); 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Parton; parents, Kemper and Zula Parton; and brother, Top Parton.

Pallbearers will be Josh Parton, Chad Parton, Bradley Ward, Rock Ward, Caleb Brown, Ronnie Webb, and Steven Bumpers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of the turbine engine shop at the Anniston Army Depot.

Mr. Parton was currently employed at the Anniston Army Depot and was well known for his hard work ethic, and his love for gardening and people. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
