Peggy Lynn Smith Kelley received her ultimate healing on Sunday, August 26th surrounded by family in her home after a 15 month battle with glioblastoma which she fought with all of her heart and soul. She was loved into heaven by her husband of 50 years, Johnny Kelley. He along with their daughter Denise Kelley Argo and family invite you to join in a celebration of her life and legacy at Leatherwood Baptist Church Wednesday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. A time of fellowship with family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.
Peggy spent her entire 67 years loving well and living out her faith in every way possible. Nothing was ever more important to her than her God and the people He gave her to love. She served her family beautifully in her home and served her church family at Leatherwood in countless ways. She intentionally invested in sharing the love of Jesus with everyone and leaves a legacy of faith that will live on forever in her sisters, brothers and sisters-in-love, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless others that were blessed to call her friend, Mrs. Peggy, and Grammy.
At her request, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Sav-A-Life at 1506 Leighton Ave. Ste. A Anniston, AL 36207 or Taunton’s Children’s Home at PO Box 870 Wewahitchka, FL 32465, both of which she believed are making an eternal impact on the next generation. You are also invited to join her team, Heart and Sole, for the Blazer Bolt 2018 where your donation to brain tumor research will offer hope for the next glioblastoma patients.
