

Weaver - Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Ford Dobbs, 82 of Weaver will be Sunday February 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Halls Chapel Congregation Church in Weaver with Rev. Hollis Martin and Rev. Ellis Ford officiating with burial following at Halls Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-7 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dobbs passed away February 12, 2013 at RMC in Anniston.
Mrs. Dobbs is survived by her husband, James B. Dobbs; daughter, Kelli Jo (Adam) Hunter; son, Connie Mack (Linda) Dobbs; sister, Merylene Baker; brother, Edward L. (Bunny) Ford; grandchildren, Jonna (Jackie) Cheatwood, Kris (Summer) Guthrie, Alicia (Rob) Cofield, Kevin (Virginia) Guthrie, and Kade Hunter; five great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dobbs is preceded in death by parents, Fred and Mabel T. Ford.
Pallbearers will be Rob Cofield, Adam Hunter, Eddie Guthrie, Bud Conway, Butch Bowen, and Tim Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam and Kenneth Kirby.
Mrs. Dobbs was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was a member of Halls Chapel Congregation Church, where she was actively involved in the Women’s Sunday School Class and WM’S. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, friend, and was loved by all who knew her.
