Roger Dale Cunningham was born December 2,1946 passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 56 years (6-6-1966) Mary Charlene Cunningham of Munford, one son Warren Scott Cunningham wife Betty of Carrollton, Ga. Three Grandchildren, Kaitlin Farmer husband Dylan, Warren Scott Cunningham II, Kevin Elisco and one great granddaughter Madelynn Farmer all of Carrollton, Georgia. Two sisters Melba Feazell (Harold) of Oxford, Al and Kathy Comer (Barry) of Satsuma, Alabama. A special great nephew Carson Chandler of Anniston an Aunt Judy Peavy of Sylvester, Georgia and other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cunningham is preceded in death by his parents Curtis Warren Cunningham and mother Margaret Barnard Cunningham and by his mother-in-law Loraine Clark Newman.
A Visitation will be held at Edgewood Methodist Church at 2700 Brighton Ave. Anniston, AL 36207 on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm. A service for Mr. Cunningham will be held at the church at 3:30 pm with Dr. Bill Snow officiating.
Mr. Cunningham served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Korea. He retired from Goodyear Plant in Gadsden after 30 years of service. He was known by several nicknames Turbo, R.D. and Bubber Dale. He was a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger's name to either Edgewood Methodist Church, 2700 Brighton Ave. Anniston, Alabama 36207 or Mount Holly Church 4685 N. U.S. 27, Carrollton, Ga. 30117.
