A celebration of life for Mr. Roger Hayes, 68, of Anniston, will be Thursday, March 18th, 2021, 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Gray Brown Service Mortuary, with Pastor Sheree Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Munford, AL. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening at the funeral home between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Mr. Hayes passed away on March 14th, 2021 at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay Hayes; daughter, Sherry Duncan and her husband Chad; sons, Scottie Hayes and his wife Shasta, Adam Hayes and his wife Amber; sister, Patsy Moss; grandchildren, Paige Duncan, Walker Hayes, Morgan Hayes, Dalton Hayes, Karli Duncan, Dozer Hayes, including a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Betty Hayes; siblings, Billy Hayes, Joyce Pointer and her husband Larry, Diane Smith and her husband Jimmy, Jackie Hayes and his wife Carolyn; brother-in-law, David Moss.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Hayes, Adam Hayes, Chad Duncan, Walker Hayes, Dalton Hayes, Dozer Hayes, and Mason Yates.
Roger was a loving and devoted Husband, Deddy, Pawpaw, Brother, and Uncle. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and adventures. His life revolved around his family. He will be forever missed by all that had the pleasure to know him.
