

Ohatchee – Ronnie L. Hay of Ohatchee passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Services will be Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11am with visitation one hour prior to service at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Dr. Aubrey Hay officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Hay is survived by his wife, Bess Daniel Hay; daughters, Kim (Lacy) Smith, Pam (Geoff) Carroll; son, Ronnie L. (Kim) Hay Jr.; step-children, Patsy (Rev. John) Roberts, Billy B.J. Johnson; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and his first wife, Jessie Hay; the mother of his children; brother, Dr. Aubrey (Nancy) Hay; sisters, Doris (Boyd) Ferguson, Bobbie (Bill) McCrary.
Mr. Hay is preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Alene Hay; brothers, Parker and David Joe Hay.
Ronnie was a native of Arkansas but lived in Alabama most of his life. He was a former employee of Ron Newton Pontiac (service manager). Ronnie was a joy to know; witty and pleasant. His family and many friends will long remember his kindness and love. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
