
Funeral services for Shirley Parris Duncan, 74, of Rabbittown will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Rabbittown Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Rabbittown Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday at her son (Eddie Brocks) residence. Mrs. Duncan died Wednesday at Stringfellow Hospital.
Survivors include daughters, Renee Pointer (Johnny Grindle) and Teresa Duncan (Natilee); grandchildren, Stacey Barnes, Michael Hammock, Junior, Jonathan and Brandon Morrow, Heaven and Destiny Grindle, Dakota Pointer, Lee and Wayne Biddy, Shasta Pointer; three great-grandchildren, Madison Studdard, Lakaila and Dustin Morrow; sister, Louise Easterwood; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Angel.
Mrs. Duncan is preceded in death by husband, Emanuel “Penny” Duncan; parents, Albert and Caffie Mae Parris; son, Eddie Brock, Grandson, Tyler Morrow, three infant siblings and her dog, Tiny.
Pallbearers will be Junior, Jonathan and Brandon Morrow, Lee and Wayne Biddy and Teresa Duncan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Clark, Anthony Morrison, Johnny Grindle, Leon Pointer,
and Tony Dunaway.
Mrs. Duncan was a of native Georgia and a lifelong resident of Rabbittown. She was a Herbologist and a member of White Plains Church of Christ. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Lisa and Howard Clark, Tony and Angela Dunaway, and Sean Liddy.
