Funeral Service for Thelma Joyce Burr, 82 of Jacksonville, AL will be Friday May 12, 2023, 1 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and family from 11 until time of service. Rev. Daniel Harper of Saks Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Burr, Jr.; daughters, Robin Givhan (Tim Givhan), and Sharon Ross (Bill Ross); Grandchildren; Shanna Fleig, Steven Ross, Tyler Burr, Sarah Ross, Sydney Collins, Anna Chambless; Great Grandchild: Gavin Fleig, Baby Girl Burr (due 5/11/23); Sister: Delila Bennett; and many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by her son. Keith Burr; parents, Bill and Etta Mange, brother; Fred Mange.

Pallbearers are Bill Ross, Steven Ross, David Collins, Johnny Kelley, Dana Mange and Taylor Hulett.

Thelma Burr was a member of Saks Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted military spouse who enjoyed traveling with her husband and family for many years. She and her husband retired to Jacksonville, Alabama in 1980. She retired from JC Penney 2001.
