Tony Yardley
23 October, 1952 – 4 January, 2021
A Celebration of life service for Tony Yardley, 68 of Jacksonville will be 6:00 pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Yardley is survived by his loving wife Barbara Jean Yardley; children, Sean Anthony Yardley and Lacie Lynn Oden; sister, Leslie Owens; grandchildren, Preston Anthony Oden and Sarah Grace Oden
Mr. Yardley was born October 23 1952 in Sikeston, Missouri to Frederick Arthur and Wilma Jean (Morgan) Yardley. He graduated from South High School in Fargo, North Dakota in 1970 and then graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1975 in Fine Arts. He taught countless musician for over 50 years. Teaching guitar lessons at Flash Guitars, Hubbard Pianos, and Chevalier Productions. He was also an accomplished artist, and did work for Jacksonville State Concerts, Noble Signs, and Screened Image.

I have known Tony about 35 years through his music. He taught my son Ben to play guitar. A very talented man that has always been kind. Prayers for his wife and other love ones.

I spent quite a few afternoons sitting with Tony in his lesson room talking about music and life. I loved to hear him tell old stories. I was never his student but he taught me a lot. I will miss you my friend.

So sorry about Tony . The yardleys were like an extended family to alot of us that were seans friends as teenagers. I know he was important to alot of people and he touched so many lives with his music which he enjoyed so much . My best to all of you in this time of sorrow.

I loved Tony so much. The years I spent taking guitar lessons were such a joy to me, he taught me so much and he will be dearly missed. My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
