Vickie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Emily Haynes; son, Jayden Haynes; granddaughter, Reagan Michelle Haynes; grandson, Austin Jacob Haynes; father, Dan Truitt; brother, Tim Truitt; Aunt and Uncle Margaret & W. C. Watts; Uncle and Aunt Gary & LeWauna Truitt, Cousins Mike Watts, Kathy Aldredge, Steve Watts, Shannon Truitt, Alaina Truitt, and Shelby Truitt Ebert; and special friends: David Haynes, Darrell Farmer, and Tim Gaskin.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Truitt; grandparents, Marvin and Vera Brand, and Earl and Geneva Truitt.
She wore many hats in this life: daughter, sister, friend, caregiver… but the job she loved the most was mother and “Nonna”. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, always eager to share pictures and stories of them.
She was a graduate of Alexandria High School, Class of 1980, and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alexandria.
Services for Vickie will be held at the Chapel at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Saturday. February 22, 2025 at 11 AM with Daniel Harper officiating. Family will receive friends an hour prior for visitation starting at 10 AM. Graveside services will be following at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
She was a kind and beautiful soul who will be sorely missed by everyone who loved her.
