Funeral Services for Wesley “PeeWee” Brechbiel, 87 of Anniston will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Luther Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening, June 9, 2015 from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mr. Brechbiel passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Opal Brechbiel of Anniston, daughters Shannon Butterworth of Oxford, Sherri Conner (Mitch) of Oxford and Alyce Sewell (Bryan) of Bradenton, Fl., sister BerNelda Lerbs of Minnesota, grandchildren Jeffrey Scott Butterworth, Kendra Conner, Brittany Conner, Samantha Sewell and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brechbiel is preceded in death by his parents William and Ida Brechbiel, two brothers, one sister and a son-in-law Terry Butterworth.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Brechbiel was a native of Minnesota and a resident of Calhoun County. He was a retired self-employed brick mason and served in the US Army during WWII.
