September 23, 2022. He was a beloved father, son, brother, grandson and uncle.
Chazz’s story started in Anniston, Alabama on February 27, 1990. A beautiful blond haired
brown eyed boy born to Ginger Harden Phillips and Bert Phillips.
Chazz spent his lifetime enjoying the outdoors. He could often be found down by the riverbank,
casting out a line or walking out of the woods at dusk after a day of hunting, empty handed but
smiling because of spending the day where he loved it the most, outside. Cheaha Mountain is
where he found peace and adventure. As a little boy, we often received the treasures he found,
be it flowers, rocks or bugs. He was so proud of each gift he gave.
He also enjoyed cooking for family and friends with dreams of opening his own restaurant in the
future. Many days would be spent in the kitchen, inventing his own recipes with people always
going back for more.
Chazz’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishments was his beloved children, Emma, Kolten,
Madelyn and Serenity. We all can take comfort that Chazz will live on in these precious
children.
Chazz passed away, Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 32. He was preceded in death
by his grandmother, Martha Wells, great-grandmother, Nell Hellums, grandfathers, Bobby Gene
Phillips and Larry Harden and aunt, Shelia Phillips.

Creed Harden, Madelyn Grace Harden Apple and Zevah Serenity Harden, his mother, Ginger
