William “Gene”Owens passed away September 8,2025 at home surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at Eulaton United Methodist Church on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 2PM.
He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Johnson Owens; father , James Carlton Owens; and several siblings.
He is survived by his wife Linda Ferguson Owens; daughters, Cyndi Owens Nelson, Jayda (Scott) Wood, and Amy (Mark) Trotter; grandchildren, Haley Nelson, Kel (Andrea) Floyd, Trent (Jordan) Floyd and Breanna Kyle; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers , Harold “HR” Owens and Jimmy (Susan) Owens.
He was an avid Alabama fan, loved fishing, camping, and hunting. He dearly loved his fur-baby, Sparky Lee.
