William Terry Taylor

Funeral Services for Terry Taylor, 67, of Jacksonville will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 at United Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Mr. Taylor passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife Debra Taylor, daughter Terie Guffey (Mark), sons Trell Taylor (Suellen), David Smith (Rebecca), sister Judy Miller (Shelby), brother Joe Ellison, grandchildren Ty Guffey, Max Guffey, Asher Guffey, Carmindy Taylor, Miriam Taylor, Allie Taylor, Braxton Smith, Lexie Smith, Olivia Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by parents Trell and Myrtle Taylor, sister Doris Wesson.

Pallbearers will be Justin Houston, David Wright, Dwight Roper, Scott Smitherman, Jeff Smitherman, Phillip White, Danny Pitts, Eddie Hammonds, honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ellison and Jimmy Stone.

Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of United Fellowship Baptist Church. He retired from JSU and began working for Food Outlet Jr., were he loved meeting and interacting with the community. He loved his grandchildren and was an avid turkey hunter.
