

Anniston- Funeral service for Mr. William O. Wilson Jr., 69, will be Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at The Church of St. Michael and All Angels with the Rev. Hugh Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens. This evening the Reception of the Body will be in the church at 6 p.m. with visitation to follow in Lagarde Hall until 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends Sunday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service in the church.
Mr. Wilson passed away Thursday, July 12,, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Gail Wilson; daughter, Angela Wilson (Patti Waits); son, Andy (Sheila) Wilson; adopted son, Randy (Melissa) O’Brien; sister, Mary Wilson; sisters-in-law, Sarah Wilson and Sharon Wilson; grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Kylie Wilson, Drew Wilson, Gina (Tommy) Cathey and Amy (Canon) McCray; 6 great grandchildren; aunt, Holly McCurry; god-sons, Lindsey (Sonya) Ramey, Chris Winn and Samuel Willingham Jr.; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; his constant companion Yorkie, Harley.
Pallbearers will be Robert “Butch” Gilmore, Ron McClellan, Wayne Carden, Robert Stillwell, Doug O’Dell, Lenn Costner Jr. Honorary Pallbearers, Lenn Costner Sr., Ken Perry, (Ret.) Gen. Gerald Watson, Mack Burt, Jim McDaniel, Ed Wade, Howard Waldrep (in absentia).
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Beatrice Wilson; brothers, Carl and Ronnie Wilson; son, Jimmy “Skeet” Rust; parents-in-law, J.H. and Lettie Wildman.
Mr. Wilson was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a retired supervisor from the Opportunity Center. He was a member of St. Michael’s and All Angels for 41 years where he was a former member of the Vestery and a former Junior Warden. He was also a member of the F.O.P lodge #4 in Weaver, Elks Lodge, Sons of the Conferdecy Ten Island Camp and a member of the Northeast Alabama Red Elephant Club.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Church of St. Michael and All Angels in memory of Mr. Wilson.
