He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Pinkstaff.
Survived by wife, Sandra L. Jacobson, Robert Jacobson (Yo), Terri Cleveland, Roxanne Hale (Dennis), Renae Brown (Scott), Clayton J. “Bud” Jacobson Jr., Denise Hoops (Bill), Cori F. DeVine, Gary J. Jacobson (Marti). Jake had 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 9 great- great grandchildren.
Jake was an Army Vet of the Second World War from 1942 to 1945. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and Two Overseas Service Bars. Jake was involved in VFW service and was the commander of Post 7664 from 1991 – 1995. He acquired a love of carpentry from his membership in the Carpenters Union. He loved to build and remodel his own homes as well as those of friends and neighbors. Jake and Sandy spent winters in Florida and most recently, Texas. Jake also had a passion for going to Auctions where his nickname was Jake “one money” Jacobson. He was also a huge fan of the MN Vikings. He was dressed in his white Vikings jersey and was napping before kickoff when he passed.
