He is preceded in passing by his son, Jason David; and his parents, Ernest and Helen.
Dennis is survived by his Wife, Nancy Melenich-David; Son, Brandon; Daughter, Britni; and Grandson, Grayson.
From an early age Dennis was enamored with racing on 4 wheels. He raced and worked for a local race team in the late 70’s and early 80’s after which he opened his own mechanics shop. During this time he married his late former wife Debbie Anderson and they gave birth to their late son Jason David in 1974. Dennis soon figured out that driving semis was more profitable than working on them. He then spent the rest of his career in the trucking industry. After a long career behind the wheel he moved into the office in 2004 as the Local cartage operations manager for Dedicated Logistics Incorporated which he spent 30 years of his career at. Trucking was in his blood.
Beyond his career Dennis was a devoted husband to his wife Nancy. Together for almost 30 years and married for 28 of those years. Shortly after Dennis and Nancy married in 1994 they gave birth to their first child, Brandon. In 1997 Britni entered the world. In the coming years the family would tackle various home improvement projects all while Dennis was sharing his knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing with his wife and children. Between Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the various sports the children played Dennis was present for every single game, camping trip and banquet.
Dennis and Nancy welcomed their first grandson in 2021. Their capacity for love grew exponentially. The bond Dennis and Grayson shared was unmatched. As a personal endeavor Dennis had been bowling off and on for most of his adult life. The last 4 years he was bowling twice a week in leagues with coworkers and friends.
