I miss you, our long talks, laughs, singing country music, fishing, canoeing and most of all always a devoted friend of 10 years. It wasn't long enough. I love more than you know and always will. See you again my friend. 

I have so many memories with Janelle over the past 30 years. She was truly the life of the party and my best friend/sister. One of my favorite memories with Janelle is when we went skiing at Wild Mountain and decided to go down a black Diamond steep hill with jumps and Janelle said watch this and took off down the hill swerving into the biggest jump and next thing you saw was her feet and skis straight up in the air and she landed straight on her ass! Paramedics had to take her down and ambulance ride to the hospital. She laid on my couch with a bruised tailbone and I took care of her.  Janelle was extremely dangerous and had no fear. She lived her life to the fullest and is truly going to be missed by so many.  Love you always Nel! 💔💪🙏

Janelle was a sister to me growing up, part of my family. We spent many days after school hanging out together at my house or the river behind her house in Bradford (with Nick Smith usually). Those two often liked to play pranks on me and laugh hysterically at my expense. I’ll never forget your laugh, it was recognizable from a mile a way. One prank in particular that sticks out is one fateful evening after basketball. We both lived on dirt roads about a half mile apart and had to walk a half mile to get home once dropped off. It was winter and already dark by the time we would get home. So, Janelle and Nick get dropped off first, a half mile from my road. They had Marlys pick them up at their drop off stop, then race and pass the bus to turn down my road. I was unaware of this of course. So, I’m walking home, in the dark, on a country dirt road. A few yards in front of my driveway, I see a black trash bag and I think, “that’s weird someone just threw a bag of trash on the road.”.I walk up to the bag and give it a little kick. The bag let’s out a moan  and Janelle jumps out of the ditch with a machete and starts chasing me as I’m screaming and running for my life. All of a sudden hear that laugh, that unmistakable Janelle laugh, and turn around to find them doubled over on the road holding their stomachs, trying to catch their breath because they’re laughing so hard. This is just one of the many things Nel did to torture me (in sisterly love) growing up. We had a falling out as roommates at 20 and then reconnected a few years later, with a reconciliation complete with tears and hugs and I’m sorries. From then on we were friends and sisters for life, sometime close sometimes distant, but whenever we saw each other it’s as if time never passed. I love you sister Nel! You will be in my heart forever.

 I know we didn’t know each other well, and it has been a minute since we last ran into each other at the corner near ACE, but you were always very helpful when me and my kids came in to the shop. And when you weren’t working you would still say hi while I was waiting for the bus. My deepest sympathy to friends and family. Rest in Heaven Janelle

She was going so fast and swerved to the right to hit the biggest jump possible and all  we saw was her feet go straight in the air and she landed on her backside. After being brought down in a sled by paramedics she was brought to the hospital. She ended up on my couch for a week when I lived with my mom. I don't think she ever went down a Black diamond again.

You will be missed crazy woman! Crazy we just saw each other and spent time together now your gone. Rest easy janelle!

My heart is heavy but I know one day I will see you again.  The memories I have I will share with all that will listen and a smile will always be on my face remembering them.

This was one of our very first pictures together. Through the good and bad, I will always remember you.  I hope you have found peace and happiness. Rest easy, Janelle 💙

We may have not been as close as we once were because life gets in the way, but when we saw each other it was like we never skipped a beat. You knew how to put a smile on my face and keep me laughing even when I didn’t want to. You are going to be missed dearly and until I see you again rest peacefully my friend. ❤️ You always sucka :)

My heart is so very sad.  I will hold tight to all the wonderful memories we shared growing up together!  This is a hard one to digest, she will be missed greatly and thought of often!
