It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Matthew John “Matt” Zobava, who passed away while surrounded by loved ones on October 8, 2025, in Coon Rapids, MN. Matt was known for his big heart, sense of humor, and endless love for family. A proud, hardworking tile setter before his early retirement, in retirement he was the worlds best and goofiest grandpa.
He loved his Broncos, his grandbabies, and hands crafting beautiful art pieces. Despite life’s challenges, Matt’s humor and warmth never faded.
He is survived by his daughter Madison (and son-in-law Dylan Sr.), grandchildren Maddylan (6) and Dylan Jr. (1), Mother LaDonna, Siblings Kathleen, Joel (Pam), Michelle, Shane, William (Karen), and Mark (Connie), as well as 8 nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Saint Stephen’s Church in Anoka at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 24, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service and lunch after mass.
Matt will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, love, and the light that he brought to everyone who knew him.
