I just learned of Ron’s passing yesterday.  He had been a family friend for over 40 years.  My deepest sympathy to Sally and his family.  He will be sadly missed by many.

Ron and I were not only first cousins but we were the oldest of each family's siblings and we were both first named after our fathers, Kenneth V. Nordin and Ronald "Bud" Nordin. Perhaps because of that, comaradery was kinda built in.  While most of our meetings through the years were at family reunions, be it a wedding, funeral or actually a reunion,  we did manage to hook up a few times in the later years. Ron was an enjoyable person to be around. I never heard him complain about anything, especially when he mentioned he had cancer.  Whenever I'd ask how he was doing, either in person or texting, he was always positive. When we did meet, he was always interested in knowing more about my side of the family. I will miss sharing meals and conversations with Ron which was always a pleasure.

To Lowell, David, Mary, Deanna and Jerry, having lost 2 of my brothers, I feel and understand your heartache. My prayer for you and your families is that God's comfort and peace which passes all understanding, will comfort and guide you all as time goes by. Our door in Los Lunas, NM is always open to any of you. Mary has my contact info.

Ron and I met in the early 70’s and became fast friends over the years we raised our families and parted  ways but still kept in touch thru some trying times. Once we aged, hahaha and retired  we got the time to enjoy each other’s company but knew his health would cut it short. Our golf games were about reminiscing, our youth,wives,kids,grandkids all the highs and lows that life gives you . Ron was so proud of his family and all of their accomplishments. I’m going to miss you  buddy. Until we hit the sticks again  RIP

Nordin Family - I had the honor of getting to know Ron over the past 8 years at the Havana Knights Cigar Club. I live in the West Metro so only got to see Ron at our monthly meetings. I had many great conversations with Ron about families and life. He loved you all and he was a real encouragement to me.  I was blessed to call Ron my friend, even though our interactions were spread out. He was a lovely man and I miss him. God speed, Ron! 🙏❤️

Celebration of Life

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald “Bud” and Jane Nordin. 

He will be deeply missed by wife Sally (nee Goebel), daughter Stephanie (Jeremy) Verbout, son Dan (Jenny), grandchildren Erika, Troy, Samantha, Halley, and Aubrey, brothers Lowell, David, Jerry and sisters Deanna Levenhagen and Mary Hayford.
