Funeral services will be held in the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka, Florida. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Shupert was born in Pike County, Alabama, son of the late Charles Shupert and Belle Patterson Shupert. He formerly lived in the Midland City, Alabama area, Apopka, Florida and Hortense, Georgia before moving to Eufaula in 2012. Mr. Shupert served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired as the owner and operator of Pete’s Cabinet Shop in Apopka, Mr. Shupert was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Shupert Clifton, a son, Samuel Shupert, a brother, Charles Shupert and a sister, Helen Austin.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Jean Hartzog Shupert, Eufaula, a native of Midland City; two daughters, Charlotte Shupert Lovell (James), and Beverly Shupert, all of Eufaula; eight grandchildren, Charlotte Clifton, Samantha Rhodes, Sabrina Franklin, Dolly Smith, Tina McDowell, James Lovell, Jr., Samuel Lovell and Christopher Lovell; seventeen great-grandchildren; One great-great grandchild a special nephew, Floyd Jerkins.
