Richard Henry Cerezo Sr., age 77, of Casselberry, Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1948, and lived a life marked by faith, service, and steadfast love for his family and community.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife and partner in life, Elizabeth Cerezo; his daughters Ingrid Elizabeth Cerezo-Rivera (and her husband, Christopher), Gisselle Elizabeth Cerezo, Dalimar Octaviani (DIL), and his treasured grandchildren Alexandra Elyse, Melissa Gabrielle, Sarah Isabelle, Adrianna Mayliz, Christian X., and Dominic J., each a reflection of the legacy he leaves behind. He was preceded in death by his dear son, Richard Henry Jr., whom he loved deeply and remembered always. Richard was also lovingly remembered by his sisters: Yolanda, Carmen, Ruby, and Debbie, along with extended family and many friends who will hold his memory close.
A man of quiet strength and deep faith, Richard walked closely with the Lord and allowed his beliefs to guide his decisions, his service, and every act of kindness. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, later retiring with pride in his years of dedication. As a committed Free Mason, he lived out the values of integrity, service, and brotherly love, treating them not as ideals but as a daily way of life.
Richard was a remarkable leader and a steadfast advocate for the veterans community, always willing to listen, to show up, and to stand up for those who served. He measured his life not by what he gained but by what he gave, encouraging others to grow, to lead, and to become their best selves. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched—within his family, his church, his lodge, and his community—who are stronger, kinder, and more hopeful because of him.
His life was shaped by deep and steady faith, daily prayer, and a genuine love for God and others. Though his family and friends grieve his loss, they are also profoundly grateful for the gift of his life and the example he set of serving quietly, loving deeply, and trusting God completely.
A Memorial Service for Richard will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:45am at Christ The King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Drive in Orlando, Florida, 32807. A Celebration of Life Brunch will be held at 12pm.
