Deolinda Anjos Freitas

Deolinda was a resident of Arcata. She loved to crochet and knit, she sewed for many years. One of her favorite hobbies was to tend to her garden. She often traveled to the Azores to visit her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Maria Albertina Furtado and Deolinda Sousa, brother Fransisco Goulart of Canada, grandchildren Gary Sousa and Leonilda McLaughlin, Great grandchildren Darissa and Elora McLaughlin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Teodoro Fraga, Fernando Silva, Jose M. Avelar, Justin McLaughlin, Joao De Matos, and Mickael Fraga.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22 from 5:00-7:00 with a Rosary at 7:00 at Pauls Chapel. Mass will be held Wednesday November 23 at St Marys Church in Arcata with Father Gerry officiating. A graveside service will follow at St Marys Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special "Thank you" to the staff at Eureka Healthcare and Wellness Center for all of the care and attention given to Deolinda in her final days. Specifically the aides Joan and Betty who showed great kindness and support to her family at the time of Deolinda's passing.
