Cyndi was full of life and very independent, determined to do things her way, without asking for help from anyone if possible. She loved flowers, birds, fish, and feeding the wildlife, although she would fuss every now and then about the squirrels who kept digging up her flowers on a regular basis, but she always replanted them knowing that it would most likely be to do over again. Cyndi was a person who would take care of others but found it very hard to let anyone take care of her. She would plan her day knowing that she might have to rearrange whatever it was to help someone else out. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Cyndi is survived by her sons - Shane (Misty) Hensley of Winston-Salem, Gabriel “Gabby” Hensley of Archdale; and Amber Hensley of Archdale; 4 grandchildren – Madison Mayer of Kernersville, Jessica Hensley of Siler City, Hailey Hensley, and Gabriel Hensley II of Archdale; 3 great-grandchildren - Stella, Silas, Garret and was excited about her 4th great grandchild that was due any day. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Phyllis (Danny) Hartley of Winston-Salem, Vickie (Eddy) Hennings of East Bend, and a brother Thomas (Christina) Foster of Davis, California; 3 nieces and a nephew: Tina (Allen) Jester, Michelle “Shelly” Hartman, Aislyn Foster, and Bishop Foster, her great nephew and great niece- Jody Jester and Adrienne Jester; and 1 aunt – Joan Ebert of Marietta, Georgia. Cyndi is also survived by many cousins and friends too numerous to mention. And last, but not least was her daily companion her Boston Terrier – Ava.
Cyndi chose not to have a service of any kind, so her family is honoring her by doing as she wished. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to a charity or organization of your choice or to Randolph County Hospice in her memory.
The family would like to thank those at Randolph County Hospice who helped take care of her over the last few months, and to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Archdale, for their help in carrying out her personal wishes.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AdvantageArchdale.com for the Foster family.
