

A resident of this area all of her life, Mrs. Williamson was born on October 30, 1936 in Randolph County to the late Thomas Fred and Annie Bunton Clement. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Williamson, Jr., and a daughter, Karen W. Lyons.
Surviving is her daughter, Janet Gray and her husband Russ of Sophia; son-in-law, Dennis Lyons of Randleman; step-sons, Lawrence Williamson III and his wife Judy of Badin Lake, Barry Williamson and his wife Rosemary of Thomasville, and Ronnie Williamson and his wife Donna of Stoney Creek; a sister, Linda Goss of Georgia; and a brother, Thomas Fred Clement, Jr. of High Point. Also surviving are her three grandsons, Jim Akines and his wife Chelsea, Josh Akines and his wife Kylie, and Christopher Lyons and his wife Lori; and six great grandchildren, Aaron, Declan Xander, Avery, Timmy, and Mia.
A celebration of Mrs. Williamson’s life will be held at 11am Saturday in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Rd., Archdale with Rev. Frank Gribble officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
