Ida Mae was born in High Point on February 21, 1927 a daughter to Jule and Fannie Mae Rook. She was a resident of High Point all of her life. She worked in the Textile Industry most of her adult life, and retired in 1982 from Adam Millis.
Ida Mae was preceded in death by her father, Jule Rook and mother, Fannie Mae Rook, a sister, Mary Lou Hall of Greenville, SC, and a grandson, Victor Edward ( E.J.) Griffin.
She is survived by a brother, Billy Joe and wife Laverne, niece, Jennifer May of Beaufort, SC, two nephews, Steve Hall of Greenville, SC., and Bill Rook, Jr. of Franklin, TN., two sons Victor Edward Griffin and wife Dolly Gail of Trinity, NC., and Phillip Michael ( Mike )
Griffin and wife Sandy of Archdale, NC. Four grandchildren, Vickie Gail Griffin Butler and husband Chad of Trinity, NC., Cynthia
Griffin Kennedy and husband Danny of Lexington, NC., Michelle Griffin and James Eagle of Jamestown, NC., Brian Griffin of Archdale, NC. Fourteen great grandchildren, Shane and Lee Stafford, Victoria ( Tori ) Noelle Charlsey, and Easton Butler, Hannah, Bryce and Ethan Griffin, Peyton and Griffin Eagle, Chrissy and Kevin Kennedy, and Jaylan Griffin; one great- great grandchild, Alena Stafford.
Visitation will be held at Sechrest Funeral Service, Archdale, Saturday, December 19, 2015, starting at 11:00am till 12:30. A graveside
service will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery by
Pastor Darrell Hunt.
Pallbearers chosen by the family are, Brian Griffin, Chad Butler, Danny Kennedy, James Eagle, Shane Stafford and Lee Stafford.
