Mrs. Shirley Ann Gilland Smith, age 62, of Trinity, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011. She had been a hairdresser for Mane Street and Company and attended Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Wallburg. Preceded in death are her father, Charles Gilland. Survivors include her husband, Joe Mike Smith; mother, Roxie Williams; daughters, Brandy Hazelwood of Trinity and Julie and her husband Wayne Holder of Clayton; son, Dustin and his wife Cindy Smith of Archdale and grandchildren, Chase, Tyler and Avery Hazelwood, Taylor and Cole Smith and Meredith and Brandon Holder.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Wallburg with Rev. Lynn Upchurch officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale.
