Upon high school graduation in 2000, he enlisted in the United States Army. In 2004, he attended the United States Military Academy, West Point, where in 2008, he was commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer. He continued to excel in his career becoming known as the Soldiers’ Solider. He was affectionately called Captain America by those he knew and served with him.
Levi was and remains a Prince-Of-a-Son. He is deeply missed as a loyal friend to his brothers, and a generous brother to his friends. Schwack! Schwack! In May 2014, he married the love of his life Heather M. Coates, becoming together “Team Haze.”
His favorite place to be was home, creating family memories with his wife and doting on his daughter. He learned that love only multiplies and was thrilled it would again with the arrival of his son in August 2019.
He was a scholar, a published poet, a featured artist, and he relished a good debate; known to take both sides, he could change his own mind. Levi considered it an honor to serve and protect this country he loves so much. America has lost a true warrior.
Soldiering on are his wife, Heather and children. His father, John H. Hazlett, mother, Jeanine Andreasen, beloved brothers Zak and Sol.
Levi was preceded in death by grandparents Gorden and Shirley Andreasen; Ross and Mary Hazlett, and his beloved brother, Caleb.
