Of Arlington Heights

Andre Scott Glenn, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Andre was born on September 19, 1966 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Tom and Lexie Glenn.

Andre was a dedicated employee of E.A. Langenfeld for 22 years as a Corporate Sales Account Manager. In March 2020, he received Langenfeld’s highest honor, the John Krill Achievement Award that not only recognizes Outstanding Results, but Leadership and Core Values Excellence.

Andre loved sports and was an active and very respected coach for the Arlington Heights Youth Baseball, Basketball and Football Programs. Andre’s true passion was coaching and teaching youth, not only how to be better players but more importantly better people.

Andre is survived by his spouse of 16 years, Ann Marie Glenn, his two sons, Andrew and Alex Glenn; his father Tom Glenn; his brothers Tracy (Denise) Glenn and Tommie (Christy) Glenn; his sister-in-laws, Nancy (Dan) Pflugradt and Linda (Tony Caloia) Kaczmarek, he was also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Andre was preceded in death by his mother Lexie Glenn.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., (capacity limits, PPE requirements and social distancing in effect) 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A Funeral Mass will be held on, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 (capacity limits, PPE requirements and social distancing also in effect). Interment will be private.
