Astra Antonini

After having children, Astra dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, a role she truly loved and took great pride in. She was a wonderful mother who opened her home to everyone, always making family and friends feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. Astra especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to babysit or be involved in their lives. She enthusiastically attended athletic games and events, proudly cheering on her family every chance she got.She was an avid Cubs fan and loved watching any games she could. Astra was also a huge dog lover, and her beloved pets brought her endless joy and companionship throughout the years.

Astra was the beloved wife to the late Allan Antonini; loving mother to Michael Antonini and Sharon (Greg) McCollum; dear grandmother to Ryan (Hayley) McCollum, Megan (David) Kellner, Shannon (Brian) Nelms, Mike Antonini, and Mariana Antonini; fond great grandmother to Bodie Kellner, Maeve McCollum, and Halle Kellner; dear sister to Arthur (Donna) Rigertas and Ingrid (late Al) Mclulis; loved by many nieces and nephews; and loving dog mom to Charlie and the late Bella. She will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Words of Remembrance will start at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
