Carol J. Anagnostopoulos

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Anthony Anagnostopoulos; children, Chuck (Lisa) Anagnostopoulos, Kurt (Greta) Anagnostopoulos, and Sue (TJ) Gilmor; and grandchildren, Kayla, Anthony, Jacob and Kai Anagnostopoulos; and Elias and Isaac Gilmor.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her older sister, Betty Cook.

Carol was born in Chicago and grew up in Park Ridge, IL. She attended Michigan State University and worked as a Medical Technologist at Northwest Community Hospital for 34 years. She was passionate about community service and volunteered for Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) through her church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Her community contributions also include early membership in social justice organization, United Power. Carol loved to read, swim, walk, travel and spend as much time as possible with her beloved grandchildren. She maintained many life-long friendships, some dating back to kindergarten. Carol will be remembered for her love, kindness, compassion, laughter and friendship.

A service will be held at 11am on November 22, 2025 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
