Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force who loved golfing and playing cards. He was employed for 25 years in the building department at the Village of Arlington Heights.
Charles is survived by his wife, Laura (nee Clark); children Chris (Kristina ‘Tina’), and Veronica (Michael) Skurla; grandchildren Kelsey, Makayla, Amelia, Adeline; he was beloved “Uncle Butch” to nephew Mark Markham; and niece Jeanette (nee Markham) Reardon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph R. and Esther (nee Werner) Kobus; stepmom, Julie Kobus; and sister, Carol (Connie).
A visitation for Charles will take place on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL. Funeral service to take place at Glueckert Funeral Home on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Inurnment private.
