Charles R. Platt, 76 , of Arlington Heights for 31 years, was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Chicago to the late Charles and Lorraine (nee Ulrich) Platt and passed away Thursday March 17, 2011 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Charles was the loving father of Pamela L. Platt and Ronald R. Platt; fond brother of Lawrence L. (Eileen) Platt; dear friend of Bobbie Glisson and former husband of Joanne Platt. Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired from Illinois Bell after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a 1952 graduate of Foreman High School. Visitation will be Sunday March 20, 2011 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home 2000 E. Northwest Highway Arlington Heights where funeral service will be held Monday March 21, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
