David "Dave" Brian Harvey

David “Dave” Brian Harvey, 50, died suddenly on March 24th, 2025. Dave was born in Butler, PA on May 25th, 1974, to his parents, Harry and Patricia (nee Lominski) Harvey. His family moved to Schaumburg and settled there in 1983.

On February 11, 2007, he married his partner in life Kristy Herrmann. Together they settled down in Arlington Heights where they added to their family two amazing boys, Jake and Luke.

Dave followed his passion for health and joined Glanbia Nutrition nearly 24 years ago as a part of Nature’s Best team and has been an integral part of their sales organization where he worked to share his knowledge and passion with others. He fell into a role working with coaches at the collegiate level. He truly enjoyed the relationships with his customers which turned into friends and it’s those relationships that made it feel less like work.

Dave was blessed with a rare gift of enduring friendships, most notably with a group of dear friends from childhood lasting decades.

Coach Harvey, as he was known by many, was dedicated to all things football (Go Steelers!). This started with coaching Arlington Cowboys for 6 years, then moved onto help guide the football team at Rolling Meadows for two years. This included running summer conditioning camps, being there for the kids and their parents on and off the field. Continuing those relationships with parents and players well past the end of the season.

At hockey, Dave was a staple cheering on his kids and their teammates from the stands. His welcoming smile at tailgates with his hockey family shows Dave’s passion about living his life to the fullest but he still knew how to relax, especially with a good cigar and his favorite tequila.

Dave is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kristy; sons Jake (17) and Luke (15); his mother, Patricia (Darold) Pitzer, his sister Amy (Chris) Ulm, Amy’s children, Christopher, Nicholas, and Stephanie, his mother-in-law Phyllis Herrmann, brother-in-law Keith (Joetta) Herrmann, Keith’s children, Justin, Jeremy, and Lillian, and brother-in-law Ken (Rose) Herrmann, Ken’s children, Alex, Matthew, Heather, and Sarah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Harvey, his father in-law Roger Herrmann, and his niece Katie Herrmann.

A memorial service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025.

Viewing will be from 12pm-5pm with a service to follow from 5pm-6pm.
