Dian Elizabeth Davis

Of Arlington Heights

Surrounded by her loving family, Dian Elizabeth (Tadych) Davis, died peacefully on January 15, 2022.

Born August 13, 1935, to Peter and Elizabeth (Surburg) Tadych in Chicago. Dian was a part of a large Polish and German family, a lifelong Cubs fan, amazing cook, inspiring and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.

While working at the Armored Express Company, she met the love of her life and married William “Bill” Davis in 1957. They had three daughters who she loved beyond measure and dedicated her life to them.

Dian graduated from Murray F. Tuley High School in 1953. Member of several high school clubs “The Modes” and “Bubblettes”. She was passionate about her childhood Bucktown neighborhood, living in Arlington Heights, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, talking on the phone to her besties Marianne Rubel, (Maid of Honor) Margie Neilson, her brother Kenny, and her daughters. She loved Ballroom and Polka dancing, singing the Cubs 7th inning stretch, Gin Martinis, Tom Selleck, and feeding and caring for her family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was loved by all.

Dian is survived by her children, Wendy (Mitch) Ziolo, Patrice (Joseph) Pecoraro and Gail (Jerome) Mraz; grandchildren, William (Daisy) Ziolo, Joseph Pecoraro and Victoria Mraz; greatgrandchildren, Hazel and Sophia Ziolo; brother, Kenneth (friend Marianne) Tadych; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill"; grandson, Randall Ziolo, her parents; siblings, Bernice Skorczewski and Howard Tadych, sister-in-law Renee Tadych and brother-in-law Harry Skorczewski.

Entombment was held privately, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held for family and friends March 26, Saturday, 11:00 am: at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church 1234 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Please send RSVP to [email protected].
