Diane Chung Nguyen

Our beautiful mom, Diane Chung Nguyen, went home on August 26, 2025 at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Vietnam, immigrated to the United States in May 1980, carrying little more than courage, faith, and a determination to build a better future for her family with 10 children. She worked tirelessly while ensuring that her home was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of shared home-cooked meals.

She cherished time with her grandchildren, tending to her garden of beautiful flowers, traveling and making homemade Vietnamese food. She also enjoyed going to buffets, especially for juicy lobsters, and spending time on other simple joys. These sweet memories will forever remain in our hearts.

Mom leaves behind Thomas, Julie (Danny), Jennifer (Andy), Jacqueline, Jon (Kerri), Mark, Linda (Jason), Mindy (Roy) and Cindy (Zoran). Cherished grandmother of, Johnathan, Vivian, Alex, Dylan, Michelle, Jocelyn, Minh, Nathan, Logan, Justin, Lucas, Brandon, Julius, Adrienne, Emilia, and Camden, who will carry her love with them always.

She was the beloved wife of the late David Nguyen, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. We take comfort in knowing they are now reunited, along with her late daughter, Nga and three of her late grandchildren, Lennox, Melanie and Natalie.

A celebration of Mom’s life will be held on Friday, September 5th, 2025 from 3-8 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. All who loved her are welcome to join us in honoring her memory. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Her love was a gift to us all, and though we will miss her every day, we will hold her close in our hearts forever.
