Donna Joyce Hecht

Donna graduated from Taft High School before attending Wright College and then on to Chicago Teachers College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in teaching. She loved being a teacher. She taught at Nash School in Chicago and Preschool at Bethal Lutheran Church and School in Rolling Meadows. She was an avid gardener and reader. She was active in a variety of clubs and organizations at St. James Catholic Church, St. Peter Lutheran Church and the Village of Arlington Heights.

Donna is survived by her children, Chris (Kelly) Hecht and Karen (Nick) Asta; grandchildren, Tyler Hecht, Lucas Asta, Abby Hecht and Halen Hecht and by her sister Nancy (Bob) Winkates.He was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Hecht; her daughter Joy; her sister Gloria Steele and by her parents.Visitation Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service, 10:00 AM, Monday, January 15, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
