I just heard about Great Aunt Elizabeth’s passing. She and Uncle Bill meant so very much to my mom (Kathy Rundquist) and I know to Gram (Dorothy) Garvey. Very special people who touched many. May her legacy live through each of you . Much love from Colorado- Karen Rundquist and Rebekah Martin

Dear William, Maureen, Cathleen, William, John, James, Patrick, Terry, and Family,

As the Director of Alumni Relations Emeritus, I offer you the sympathy and prayers of the Saint Viator/Sacred Heart of Mary community.  We pray for you as you share the stories, laugh and cry, and continue to find ways to celebrate your wife, your mother, and the love you shared.

As I listened to the heartfelt Words of Remembrance for this "amazing" women with many talents, who was a "beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, godmother and close friend to countless people of all ages," I was reminded of the following reading adapted from the Book of Sirach. 

“Let us praise an illustrious woman,
faithful to her family and friends, strong in her love.
At peace in her heart and her world,
she has left us her good name, and we recount her life of praiseworthy deeds.
A generous woman her good works will never be forgotten.
Among her family and friends remains a rich inheritance born of her….
Her name lives on from generation to generation.
We gather to sing her praises.
We proclaim her wisdom and love of life all our days.”

On a separate note, I mentioned to Maureen and Cathleen that Darlene continues to be remembered at Saint Viator High School at our annual Alumni Memorial Mass, which will be celebrated this year on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 10 am the Saint Viator Alumni Memorial Chapel.  Information about this Mass can be found at https://www.saintviator.com/alumni/events/alumni-memorial-mass.  There is a plaque with Darlene's name on it on a wall in the Saint Viator Chapel to prayerfully honor her, along with other deceased alumni from Saint Viator and Sacred Heart of Mary.

May God’s promise that life is changed, not ended, comfort you!
May the knowledge your wife, your mother, lives on in your goodness give you peace and hope.

I was blessed to know Elizabeth for 5 yrs and I am so Thankful to have had her as my mother in law.
Pat and I were able to have our wedding in their home it was perfect and simple. 
A fond memory I will always hold close to my heart is when Pat and I would stop over for a visit her and Bill would always be in the window waving goodbye to us it was the sweetest thing. 
Thank you Elizabeth ( Mom) for being so kind loving  and always welcoming me into the family ❤️.

Dear Denten Fam, 

My deepest condolences for the loss of your dear Mother. 
 Alice is a beautiful soul.        She inspired us with how she cared so deeply, and was so emphathetic and understanding.   I loved how she never missed  sending to my mom  or dad a birthday card, holiday, sympathy, or just a freindship card, you name it--- it was there in the mail!  Our mom always made sure to show it to us... it was clear how she felt so loved and valued by Alice.  What a beautiful model of friendship :  Take the time, write the card, make that phonecall, reach out and let people know how much they are loved.    And deep inside, I believed she truly meant it: she'd be doing what she said she would do: pray.   She prayed for my mom as my mom prayed for her .  Alice prayed for all of the issues--health and otherwise-- that all of US had.  Alice and "Betty" would lift their many children up in prayer, and urged us to to do the same.  Alice was certainly our "fourth aunt" and we will be forever grateful for her in our life.  May she rest in peace and fly with the angels !!!       Much love and affection,     Patti Seitz

Dear Denten Family
Graz and I offer our sincerest sympathy to all of you in regards to the passing of your beautiful and much loved wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother, Alice.
Not only was she our mother, Betty's lifelong best friend, but was more like an Aunt to all of us Seitz children. She was always so interested and so supportive of all we did...attending our graduations and showers and weddings  and  Sacramental celebrations. She will always be a Marionlike example to me of gentleness, peacefulness and faith filled/ faithful love in action.
May she enjoy the Eternal Easter Celebration in Paradise.

Mrs. D was always so welcoming and full of love towards her children’s friends. She really cared how we - and our families - were doing.  
And her many questions reflected that!
A cold drink &  good cheer were always in abundance at the Dentens.

Her amazing legacy of so many wonderful kids, grandkids, and great grandkids is so fitting.
