Preceded in death by parents Alexander and Augustina Zgoda. Floyd Michael Zgoda was born November 23, 1944. He lived to the age of eighty years old and passed away on October 22, 2025, passing away peacefully in his sleep at 2:22 a.m., having been surrounded by his family throughout his time in hospice. Michael will be remembered by his daughter Alexis Zgoda Berger, son Scott Theodore Zgoda, brothers Larry and Robert Zgoda, sister Alexandra Curtis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael worked for Redweld and Bradford Systems in sales for an extended career, having earned a multitude of accolades and recommendations. In his earlier years, Michael was quite the traveler, living in cities including New York City and in London. Michael was also known to have an interest in Native American history and collected various artifacts while traveling.

Michael will be remembered by his natural ability to light up conversations with jokes and good humor. Those who knew Michael will miss his storytelling and his laughter.

For those welcomed by the family, a closed-casket visitation will be on October 31, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. and a Catholic funeral service at 11 a.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home (1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004) with graveside burial service following after at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum (1185 Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067).
