Of Mount Prospect
George A. Lynn was born June 5, 1947 in Chicago to John and Grace (nee Larsen) Lynn. He died July 25, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
George worked as a chemist at H.B. Fuller for 42 years. He was a member of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church and previously at Bethel Community Church. He deeply loved his lord and savior Jesus Christ. George was a gentle, compassionate man with a quiet spirit. He loved to travel and took many long road trips, even by himself when he was single, camping all the way. He and Joyce took many trips together as well. George was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 11 and persevered through many complications later in life. After he received a kidney from Joyce in 2015, he could say, “we are now joined at the kidney.” Love for God, for family and for Joyce was so evident in his life. Now he is at home with Jesus, free from medical tests and treatments. He has left a legacy of love with many.
George is survived by his wife Joyce (nee Jensen) Lynn; his siblings Janet (Erv) Kiemle and Jack (Purita) Lynn and by his niece and nephew and their families.
George is preceded in death by his parents.
