George E. Montgomery

Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Iacovetti) Montgomery, loving father of Debbie (Ron) Kuffel, Denise Montgomery, and George (Eileen) Montgomery, fond grandfather of Traci, Joshua, and Tyler.

George was proud to be a member of the "Greatest Generation." He served in the army during World War II from July 1943 to December 1945. He served in England, Normandy, France, Luxembourg, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. He is a life member of the 4th Armored Assn., and a member of Post 208 American Legion, where he served as Jr. Vice President from 1994 - 1995. He was a self employed accountant from 1960 to 2018.

A Chapel service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 12:45 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1185 W Algonquin Road, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in George's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the American Diabetes Association in memory of Donna.
